Spanky Brown

Originally from Memphis, Tn Spanky first took the stage in November 1997 on open mike night at The Comedy House Theater in Savannah, Ga, and has been making his mark in the world of comedy with audiences screaming with laughter ever since. Almost eight years later he is regarded as one of the brightest rising stars in the art of stand up comedy by audiences and industry alike, as well as one of the busiest. VERSATILITY , STYLE ,CLEAN (but mature) and CLEVER best describe this pure stand up performer providing comedic insights that transcend all barriers; age, gender, urban or mainstream crowds are no obstacle for this professional.Raised a preachers son (even God knows he's funny), he's been a car salesman, insurance writer, advertising executive, radio personality (currently he's a contributing writer for the Tom Joyner Morning Show heard in over 100 markets), commercial actor, even served time... in the Army that is. Throw in father, step-father, husband, ex-husband, husband... and .... ex-husband again, and well... you get the picture. His background is as diverse as his comedy providing something for everyone. Comedy is like food, everyone has different taste and Spanky provides a "Smorgasbord" of opinions, current events and personal stories for every comedic taste bud. Weighing in at 300+ lbs (but he is so smooth), Spanky will eat up a room with easy southern laid-back style. Audiences all over are finding out... Spanky Brown is the NEXT BIG THING!!!

Feature:
Dave Glardon

Dave Glardon is a product of the fifties who came of age in the seventies and is still trying to figure out the nineties. Since 1999, he has amused readers and live audiences with his witty perspective on life. It's spicy, irreverent, and provocative, yet tame enough for the family. Well, most families. Dave entered the world of comedy with his award-winning humor column. Since that time, his weekly readership has spread to more than 30 countries around the world. In April 2003, a major Middle Eastern news organization named Dave among today's top ten humorists. Humor truly is universal. Four years and nearly 400 shows later, he is a regular feature performer, and has worked with some of the top names in the industry, picking up a few television, radio, and motion picture credits along the way. Dave is a favorite at comedy clubs throughout the Midwest, and has been featured on Killin' Time (WKWH 1520 AM - Shelbyville, IN), NPR, and several local radio shows across the country. Through high school and college Irving developed his quick wit getting him many laughs and six black eyes. During college Irving settled down with his new wife to raise a family and make $118 million dollars. After the birth of three sons, the $118 million did not arrive as planned, but the wife did leave. Irving's final words to his wife were "Hey, you forgot the kids!". His plea for mercy fell on deaf ears. Irving found himself broke and unemployed with three sons, ages 4-11, who were determined to eat weekly. This is when he started his stand up career. Timing is everything. The constraints of parenthood and running a start-up business proved too much for stand up and Irving put his career on hold for seven years until Oct 2003 when he got his first professional booking as the opening act at Cap City Comedy Club in Austin Texas.
